Great equipment, all top notch, high quality brands like Hollis, OMS, Scuba Pro, Waterproof, Mares etc. No junk sold here. Red is great guy, Warren too, they are always there to answer any of my questions and provide insight on equipment purchases. I'm still using almost 100% of the original gear I purchased such as my Bare 7mm Wetsuit, Halcyon Infinity BCD and Shearwater Petrel 2 computer and much more that I bought 4 years ago and all of it, with good maintenance and proper cleaning look just as nice as they did the day I bought them with 200+ dives on them. Best dive store in RI, pay them a visit, they also give discounts to veterans and service members and have great instructors too, John Langella is the OG instructor, extremely thorough, brilliant human being. Red is super generous wonderful guy, after I moved to CA, he has even sent me orders for gear all the way to where I am in California or has been totally upfront and honest and let me know to just purchase other items locally that he doesn't want to charge me extra for. After experiencing a scuba scam shop here in CA, I really appreciate the honesty at Giant Stride Dive Shop and highly recommend them for all of your gear purchases and trips.

Giant stride has an outdoor pickup and drop off area which i think is a great way to deal with the current situation. They were all very helpful and professional. It was busy on the first day i visited here and i still had my tanks filled faster than other places. At $8 a fill i see myself coming here for a long time.

Don't recommend at all! The selection looked ok, pretty standard for a dive shop here. There was a big roped off section that said employees only or ask for help (something along those lines) which would have been ok if we had actually gotten any sort of service here. We walked in and there was a guy messing around behind the counter who said he'd be with us in a moment. 20 minutes later and were still waiting for help. We asked, but no additional acknowledgement of our presence was made. We left after 20-25 minutes, since we weren't getting any help and were being rudely ignored. It would have been different if he had been helping other people, but we were the only ones in the store! If they treat all customers this way, I don't know how they're still in business. Another customer walked in and he got a bit of attention, but all he needed was something at the counter, and counter guy I guess didn't mind helping people of he didn't have to leave his spot. The horrible service is a shame, especially since the "Ocean State" is severely lacking in dive shops. If we're in the area again, we may go back to see if they've gained some sort of comprehension of customer service, but I can't recommend this place based on what I've experienced here. Stay away and spend your money at a shop that knows how to treat people.

Best dive shop I've been to in MA and RI. Very well stocked, with gear ranging from good quality to top of the line stuff. I've bought most of my gear here, I have it serviced here, and trust Red and crew to service it. Henry 'Red' Godin, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, super experienced diver, no-nonsense guy. He takes pride in providing top-notch service and quality gear; he dives what he sells, from gear to air.
