I purchased a home over a year ago, knowing it had issues. My Realtor got estimates for me with this company to fix a few items. Matrix came out to fix the placement of the Bird block guards in my attic, as they were all loose. I was having insulation raining down thru the bath fans, and talked to the boss about checking to make sure the venting was correct on them. They fixed the bird blocks, and the young man said he cleared the insulation from around the fans, and they were fine. Debris continued falling down from the fans, and none were adequately vented out the roof. One bird block guard was missing from above my master bath as well They obviously missed these problems? They moved a cabinet in my laundry room, leaving a fist sized hole in my dry wall. It was a 20 minute expensive fix. I guess I didn't put on the invoice to undo the screws fully before moving the cabinet? These people were nice and respectful, but maybe not experienced to do some jobs. Had them replace a toilet, giving them a brand and type. They bought and installed a very short child sized toilet. I thought it would be as tall the one they replaced, but it wasn't. I purchased 2 toilets that day. My fault for not realizing it wouldn't be tall enough. Be sure with this company, you list every single thought, idea, and step on the invoice. I would not have them back in my home.

Over the past 6 months Matrix Roofing and Home Solutions have done several jobs for us. The roof was done late last year as well as the front porch supports and soffits and gutters. After an initial wait for materials and permits the work was done in a timely manner and all the work was very good quality. The selection of materials was also good. Our neighbors all told us how nice it looks. They did the tear off and installed the new roof in just two days! Recently we started on the inside of the house and they just finished leveling and installing about 1200 sq feet of flooring. The floors I picked out are installed perfectly and seamlessly without transitions from room to room. It looks beautiful and is exactly what I wanted. David and his crew are helpful and knowledgeable and they did the job quickly and cleaned up nicely afterward. I have more work to do and won’t hesitate to hire Matrix for my next project!

1. time to completion -- 2.5 months 2. cleanliness -- they left messes every time they left. 3. bill was 3k more than estimate 4. broke kitchen cabinetry. be careful of this company for indoor work. matrix did great work on my roof which led me to call them when I needed repairs inside the house. they gave an estimate and shortly after they began work in the kitchen one worker broke the cabinet in my kitchen; yet matrix billed me for the repair. that's the first issue the second issue was the mess matrix left behind every time they left my house; especially the painter -- I made a video of the mess that was left behind after matrix left my house. third issue is the amount of time they took for completion. matrix started work on my house in early November and they finished in late January.

We had a great experience with Matrix, which was recommended to us by a realtor. They sent Joe out right away to give us a bid and he was very professional and personable. He answered all our questions, then emailed us the detailed bid. Their price was average, in the middle of the four bids we requested. Matrix was very responsive in their communication with us by phone or email. Josh was willing to work with our vacation dates and the stretch of rainy days. This was a real plus as he and I both watched the weather pattern, waiting for a stretch of dry days, per my request. The crew of roofers were polite and personable. They worked hard and seemed to enjoy working together and I enjoyed watching them. We have a large one-story with detached garage and the job was completed in three days, which included tear-off and re-roof. There was always someone available to answer any questions that came up. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. A few days later, someone came out to inspect the work and consider the job "complete." Our experience was so pleasant and much better than we anticipated. We strongly recommend Matrix Roofing!!

Yes, all the time. We partner with a select few quality gutter installers that have proven to be reliable and provide high quality work. Ugly, scratched or damaged gutters deter from the beauty of your new roof. New gutters are easily added when the roof is torn off. You can choose from a wide variety styles and colors to fit any design and budget.
Truth is some of them may need to be changed. Continual heat cycling can weaken and cause bowing and sagging to some of the plywood sheathing panels on your roof particularly on the sun expose side. Lack of ventilation often causes mildew build-up on the plywood as well. Since we always remove one sheet, to inspect the attic space during installation, we will inspect and replace any failing or damaged plywood sheathing. Structurally solid plywood sheathing is the most important factor to a long lasting roof and preventing bowing or sagging that can lead to roof failures and bad looks. We highly recommend you ensure any roofing estimate you consider has plywood sheathing replacement factored in. Matrix Roofing prides its self on providing complete and transparent roof estimates and strives to give you peace of mind documentation, with pictures whenever possible.
Roof venting is critical to roof health and the longevity of your home. With a new roof installation, we always install new roof vents. We train yearly on how to calculate your home’s exact roofing ventilation needs. With several models and types available, we build your system according to manufacturers recommendations to assure that the shingle warranty remains valid for years to come.
Yes, absolutely, in fact this is the perfect time to add skylights or tube skylights. We offer a variety of high quality skylights with built in UV protection and a host of options, including shades and solar venting. Tube style skylights are a very affordable way to add natural light to bathrooms and hallways. Be sure to ask us about adding skylights - we have several options to choose from.
Yes, as a committed community member of Clark county, Washington, we are licensed, bonded and insured to install roofs. If you’re researching contractors, try these websites Washington State Department of Labor & Industries and Washington Department of Revenue to find out if you are protected to have them work on your property. Insurance for roofing is very specific. An insured fencing contractor, for example, would not protect you if they were injured while installing a roof on your property.
There are two types of guarantees: workmanship/installation and shingle manufacturer. For workmanship, our guarantee, is 10 years from the date of installation for full roofs torn off to the plywood. We guarantee that if any issue arises due to our installation, we fix it for free. Shingle manufacturer warranties vary greatly and should be discussed in depth with one of our roofing professionals available in the office, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
No, our company has decided to install our own roofs for our customers. We want to be sure the roofing installers representing our company, are all fully trained, happy, professionals. Subcontractors, hired by sales companies, can leave you at risk, with finger pointing should an issue arise.
Our professionals maintain a clean and safe job site during your installation. After install, our teams ensure the site is cleaned up and no roofing debris are left behind, they also run a magnet “rake” around the house to grab any stray nails. Site cleanliness is a pride point for most professional craftsmen - look for it in anyone you hire.
Our roofers are highly experienced professionals with an eye for detail and quality work. Our roof professional teams are continually trained, certifying with the latest roofing techniques yearly. We treat our employees like family, and our long terms employees take immense pride in their work.
We never risk water damaging your home. After tearing off your shingles, the first thing we do is “dry in” your roof, by applying a waterproof underlayment over the plywood. We then apply shingles immediately. Roofs should never be left exposed in our area, leaving your home and contents at risk for damage. Our weather is too unpredictable. Find a roofer who starts and finishes your home in one to four days max (for average sized homes).
Soon. We run five teams of roofing professionals and even in the summer months, aren’t too far out for installations. Call us, we want to hear about your roofing project and when you're ready to start.
There are several variables that go into the timeline including size, pitch, roof scape (do you have dormers and valleys), and any sheathing/fascia board (wood) replacement. Depending on the job size, typically, we can have the job completed from start to finish in 2 to 4 days.
