I called the Seaside Library while I was parked on the beach in Seaside where dozens and dozens of cars were trying to use the beach as a way to avoid a road block on Hwy 101 today following a crash. We are from out of town and needed to head north. Google maps wasn't helpful- it kept trying to direct us back onto 101. There wasn't much information yet published by the news outlets and no detours were posted yet. I thought the library might at least know where I can find information. The librarian I spoke to was incredibly helpful and even gave us directions for an alternate route to get north safely and avoid traffic (and without driving on the beach!). Hooray for Seaside Public Library!

We were visiting Seaside for a week. I work in a library, so I always try to visit the local library of the town I'm seeing. Seaside happened to be having a trivia night program, so we joined in. We had a blast! In addition to the fun library, we enjoyed touring this beautiful building. The Decor is welcoming and friendly, especially the Children's area. I love the long Circ desk. Lovely library.
