This is a charming little meeting house that has been extremely well preserved. It's a great pleasure to me that a space like this can still exist in Portland. Most "clubhouses" and "benevolent society" buildings, in most larger cities, are priced out to make way for new constructions and condos. I'm not a member of the stamp society, but another organization who rents space holds meetings here as well. And for that we thank them!

The stamp society has drop-in hours on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 10-3 or there abouts. They always seem happy to look at what you have and will honestly tell you if it's a collection that has value. And it's a free casual appraisal. Depending on the era of stamps, the topic, country and/or the condition, they have many folks that have different levels of expertise. If the stamps are rare, I'm sure they will be able to direct you to an appropriate buyer. Tomorrow would be a good time, as I believe they will be open. Good luck!
Between 10-2:00 are the best hours to go. I drove past at 2:30 and there were folks in the parking lot and the sign was out. What time were you there? Ah, it's the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. I think the 20th was maybe the 3rd Saturday.
