I'm always amazed by how large a selection Ace Hardware carries. They are a true hardware store - but they are so much more than that too! Great products, fantastic prices and VERY helpful staff. Can't emphasize that enough. At the other hardware stores you'll have a difficult time finding an employee for any reason. But Ace employees frequently checked on me to make sure I was finding everything. And when I wasn't, they were able to help me quickly because they know their store and the products. Well worth the trip to south Salem to get your home, garden and general hardware needs met.

We just love this Ace store- everyone who works here is very friendly and knowledgeable. We have bought beautiful healthy plants from the nursery over the years that are thriving. The gift shop is always tempting. The hardware section is well stocked… just this weekend we needed Christmas light chords and switch protectors and I said just go to Ace… but my husband said the big stores are cheaper— after driving to Home Depot and Lowe’s we ended up at Ace and they had everything we needed. Also, I’ve been hunting for a non-candy/non-chocolate advent calendar- and Ace had the sweetest build-it yourself calendars this year. This Ace is the best! My advice if you see something in the gift shop or the nursery you love- get it- because it will probably be gone the next time.
