We attended the Winternational's drag racing event! It was so fun! Been a drag racing fan since 1978! Went with my grown children! Had such a great time! Hope we go next year!

Good size area only attended Sunday and I had a great time. They had food trucks gear and many nice cars. I definitely recommend attending NHRA next year I hope I am able too.

They only have Trams. This is for Patrons to make Comments on, the Facility has nothing to do w/ it.
There's motorcycle parking easy traffic so amazing just use earpad ☺☺☺☺☺have fun
Yes...
Not that I know of. I would verify with the Auto Club. Good luck!
Pay at the gate. No freebie's that I know of. By the way, I think there's a parking fee too.
If it rains, then Monday
Diana is not correct. Racing is limited to twice a yeay, plus special occasions.
1000 ' NHRA shortened to distance for driver safety, more shutdown area after the run into the sandtrap.
You can take water, coffee, gatorade, sandwiches, snacks but no alcohol.
Good to know because I'm taking my son on Sunday for his birthday
They might be shaded early on in the day but as the sun moves across the sky you may no longer be in the shade. Best place I've seen for prolonged shade is below the sky boxes, or at the margarita shack
Yes, they are currently doing Elf on the Shelf.
It has not been called off they pushed up start time to 10 am
They will not race during the rain. They usually reschedule the rained out race on the next day Monday. And as in the past your Sunday ticket will be good for the Monday race.
I'm not sure I'd have to do a little more looking into why that is happening
They have different parking passes at the entrance, general parking and Pit Parking
I don't think you can bring outside food or drink
Yes
Kids under 10or something are free with adult
Not difficult. Just go up to the gate or ticket office if you need to.
Yes, not like the old days. As Randy says, they run the cars, autographs for the kids, and sponsor trailers with activities. Best to go early or thurs or Fri to see everything. Gets very crowded during semi finals and finals.
I don't know but there should be. Thank you for your service!
Yes they do! You'd have to contact the track to set where you park. Have fun!
This track is only open 14 times a year
If you are a member the tickets are as low as 45 dollars a ticket. Membership is free. Also you get the lowest prices when your a member and first dibs on the low cost. After a certain date they raise the price to the public. Which it will cost more.
You can check at NHRA. Com but I believe it's on the east coast at the moment. You can also Google it there is all sorts of racing going on.
Not that I'm aware of.
It is right now at the fairplex and on TV it is at 8 on FS1
I paid 96.00 for 2 veterans discount otherwise 60.00 apiece plus 15.00 to park
I not sure but I think it's gonna start raining later in the day.
If it is postponed it may continue the following day
Raining now! 08:50
Try staples they can print Tickets for you as long the link for the tickets is good
Rain always a problem when you go 340 mph
Yes, I believe you are allowed small coolers.
Go to nhra.com Shanell.
No. But everything still open. Top eliminator club, food etc.
No. I recommend you get there early and get a good parking spot so you can go out to the car and get drinks from your cooler whenever you need to.
Yes and you need to contact the NHRA
They usually start at noon and the time they finish depends on the amount of crashes or engine problems.
What race? Was the vendor selling only coolers, their logo, multiple logos or a specific brand of cooler?
Show uo and oay your way, no knives etc.(I carry a pocket knife..my mistake) and no outside alcohol allowed inside ..but you can tailgate
The city, unfortunately, has a noise curfew of 7 pm. The races start mid to late mornings and end before 7 pm.
Depends on what day. November 8 9 10 or 11? Each day different qualifying times. 11:30am, 4:30pm......
Yes you can but, bottles and alcohol are prohibited.
Contact the track directly
16, just follow the signs and the rest of the cars and bam, you'll be there.
My suggestion would be to refer to their seating chart. I sat in section 3 which had very good sight lines. Also on the lettered side you can have alcohol.
For better seating I would buy in advance
Check NHRA website, but I believe the Winternationals is the second weekend in February
You may want to check their web site. I dont belive they do that anymore. I belive its just down to thectwo national events. Check Fontana they are racing quater mile out thete agian . There is also irwindale Thursday nights
Nov. 8 - 11
No convenient gateway except off of Arrow Highway.
Yes you can. Bring a tripod too if you have one. You may be able to set it up n use it depending on where you sit.
You can have the taxi drop you off on Fairplex Dr. The gate will vary by the ticket section that you buy but there will be signs for entrance at the main gate.
Yes you can buy tickets at the gate. The price of the ticket will vary dependent upon whether you choose a reserved seat or general admission. Different prices on Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday of a typical race. Sunday will be eliminations and often the reserved seats will be sold out. It is best to plan ahead and buy your tickets online so that you can choose a seat in an area you like. If you choose general admission note that people come very early and tape off the seats that they want in general admission so that they can hold them for their group later so it can be a bit tight sometimes. It's always a good time at the Raceway
Well, there were certainly more drag strips back then (Lions, OCIR, etc.), thought NHRA only runs at Pomona. You might want to check out Auto Club Speedway in Fontana or Irwindale before it closes for some good old fashioned "run what you brung".
There's a tram that goes from the NHRA Motorsports Museum and that's just a short walk from the hotel.
You can, however it's much easier to access all the action from the east grandstands. The pit entrances, food, drinks and bathrooms. One other consideration is the sun shines directly into you eyes until noon on the west side.
Thank you so much for all of your help.
You're not allowed on the track until Sunday morning. But you can chill in the pit area until you get bored. The vendors tend to go home around 5 but the teams sometimes work later. I've hung until 7 but it's only to see the teams get reagy for the next day.
It is on the east side of the track
Everything is on the website you can even buy your parking pass ahead of time and print it out and get a lower price so when you pull up to the gate you just show him the barcode
Haha driving an electric car to the drags, is kind of like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Lol no charging stations in parking areas adjacent to the track. Might have a couple at the hotel, with shuttles to the track.
Ok thank
You could bring in water in your backpack snacks in your backpack no coolers
Yes rickets are available at the gate buy reserve seating will be gone only general admission but no worry there is realy no bad seats
Yes there are several options both on and off the facility
Drag Racing typically starts early in the day, and final runs are late afternoon. But then again... there's a few night races... and ALL that i said goes out the window.
Sorry no soanish
