Mediocre, at best, food and service. I have stayed at Little River Inn many times and considered their restaurant one of the best area— no more! The menu was limited and the fish I had could have been bought at a grocery store frozen food section. I was served my meal 10 minutes prior to my friend, who sat and waited for her salad. We had to flag down the waitress (skyler) who said she had to go “hunt down” her salad. 20 percent tip is automatically included (which I will tip more for good service) with the “classy” addition of a $5 charge for bread and butter. Very disappointing— understand there is a new chef. They probably need to step it up.

This is our fourth stay at the Little River Inn, and as always, we are delighted. Beautiful rooms, unbeatable views. Very convenient for visiting Mendocino. We love the walking trail from the hotel to the great hiking trails in Van Damme State Park right next door.

Excellent room with view. Warm and friendly hosts. Dinner was excellent as well. Will come again.

It’s a great place to stay by the ocean and enjoy great sunsets and ocean views. Rooms are nice but food is ok.
