I to only receive a bill when that states I have roughly 1 week to pay just like other reviews I’ve read on here. Also it seems their response in regards to the higher rates is that they are building a new water supply that will be ready in 2026? Are the rates then going to go back down once that’s done? Why are we paying this now when we have no benefit from it? Seems this should be charged once this supply becomes available to the people who are benefitting from it. Just my humble opinion as we may not live here by then and I don’t feel this is fair.

What a horrible company. I have an auto payment plan set up with them and THEIR system glitched and didn't take my payment and yet I have to suffer the consequences of getting my water shut off without warning!? What an awful way to treat customers. Could have easily sent out an e-mail stating that their system glitched and payments would be taken out at a different time. But they didn't bother to communicate that information.

Think about it... Who's going to take the time to review a utility company with a captive marketumarket they have an issue? I stumbled on the low star rating, read a few reviews, and figured I'd chime in to add some balance to the discussion. Yes, the paper billing wasn't the greatest in my experience, but I had no issues setting up automated billing and it's worked great. On the rare occasions I've called in, I've had good customer service. Several reviews mention just moving here and being shocked at the cost. Yes, that's exactly why it's expensive. This is a fast growing area and that puts strain on infrastructure which in turn must be addressed by spending money to upgrade. People also take clean water for granted (myself included) and tend to use way more than they would if it were viewed as a more precious resource.

So an employee confirmed for me that it takes them over 2 weeks to mail out the bill, then of course takes a few days for the post office to deliver it and by the time you receive it you have 5 days to pay it. Wouldn’t a little more grace period be helpful? Not for them, they want you to be late so they can charge you late fees. Shady.

Dear Pat, Flushing the hydrants is an important function to preserve water quality and system operation. Most flushing happens in the winter when water demands and costs are lower. Flushing flow requires water pass through the pipes at a high velocity. This improves water quality by flushing sediment from the pipes, verifies proper hydrant and valve operation, and helps maintain firefighting capabilities. Because every hydrant needs flushed, there isn't an economical way to capture and transport this water for reuse. Relative to the fuel, trucks and logistics involved in capturing the water at the hydrant. Thank you for your interest in conservation. Our Board of Commissioners are elected to four year terms by District voters in the special elections held in May every other year, the ones that end in odd numbers. If a position is vacant during the term, the Board of Commissioners takes applications, conducts interview and appoints a member, who then must run for election at the next election cycle in May of every other year (2021, 2023, etc.) The Board of Commissioners position is unpaid and provides fiscal oversight, with a citizen budget committee; sets policy; and hires and supervises the Chief Executive Officer, who oversees the day to day operations.
Teldyne Wah Chang was a manufacturer in Albany Oregon. I believe they worked on metals and became a superfund site.
Yes. We only distribute potable drinking water. Famers and individuals may have their own wells in addition to the TVWD system water.
Every two months, six times a year.
A dispatch fee is the charge for rolling a truck and sending a staff member to a service line connection, usually at request of a customer or to shut off water for non-payment.Rates and charges are the only source of revenue for TVWD.
