Taking a small crew on a 5 day to Manhattan. Looking at maybe parking at Ramsey 17 and taking a train to Penn Station to save a boatload on Parking. Any advice?

That's a good idea. Just remember a few things to make things smoother- all southbound trains depart track 2 (use the bridge on level 3 to cross the tracks) except for 2 early commuter trains, but sometimes due to conditions they will change this at the last minute so always be listening to the announcements as the time approaches so you don't get caught on the wrong side. There is an NJT app that had a feature called Departure Vision that you can use to see the train status and it also shows the track number. You can use the app to buy electronic tickets, be sure your tickets are activated before you get on the train but don't activate them too early because once activated they must be used within 2 hours or so, if a train is delayed you might be screwed. Ticket machines are only on track 2, don't bother looking for them in the parking structure anywhere.

Upon further review I don't think Ramsey is a straight shot to Penn Station in Manhattan, so I'm rethinking the departure from Hamilton instead.
