It is fine for a toddler. There's lots of games to play but the older children (5+) will definitely enjoy it more. If the birthday child is the toddler, then I would look for a different place that's more suited to their age.
It's very loud and dark if that's a concern.
We took my daughter when she was 2 and she had a pretty good time. There are some video games for little kids but overall it's probably more fun for 4 and up

Good for young ones, but preface the visit with an understanding that the "monsters" are just pretend. Remind little ones to walk carefully, as some aspects of the mini golf course are elevated and can be tripping hazards in low light. Definitely a loud and distractible environment, but fun!
