Hi! At this monastery, we have Vietnamese language classes where children can learn Vietnamese and all about Zen Buddhism! We also have opportunities where children can express their artistic talents such as dance, singing, acting, etc. I, myself, am a dance instructor here where we blend traditional Vietnamese dancing and modern American dancing to create a fresh new piece in a Vietnamese environment.
I went once and it was really nice. It was around Chinese new year so it was too busy in those preperations for much else. They have dharma talks, meditation, childrends classes and activicties, they kept force feeding me food until i felt sick (and its not polite to refuse such wonderful food!) They welcome you to come joing in anything, help out, fellowship or if you would just like to sit quietly under one of their trees.
