In Texas you do not pay state taxes, but in Colorado you do. Apartments and rent in Colorado Springs are probably more expensive. Utilities are about the same. But it is a great place to live and raise children. The restaurant seems be busy whenever we go, and people tip pretty good. I would recommend trying to talk to one of the servers and see what wages they earn each month. There are very good schools in the Springs. Hope this helps.

If you are just serving, it would be highly unlikely. It may be doable but a lot of people who work in the restaurant industry here have to have a second source of income to live a decent life. It's so beautiful here and is a wonderful place to live, but as someone who grew up here, it's just way to expensive.
