No lifeguards but you have to wear a life vest. I was just there this weekend. I wasn't drowning but being 4'11 they allow you to jump out the rafts at different locations. Most times it's not deep and easy to get back in the raft. The last time I jumped out and went down deep lol let's just say it was hard to get back in the raft. For 10 mins my cousins tried pulling me up but I was laughing uncontrollably so I don't think it helped with adding more weight. Anyways the guide came back and after a little laughing guided me on how to get back in being so short. Once I stopped laughing I got in immediately. I had big dave, mohawk dave, I believe his name was Boa but I referred to him as Tarzan and two awesome ladies can't recall their names because my raft kept up with Big dav and tarzan most of the time. I wouldn't worry to much. They had rafts with kids between maybe 6-8 as well. It's an awesome time and a great bonding experience.
Hi Paul no life guards, there are about 5 guides that come along, and everyone has to wear a life jacket, no exception. They also explain what to do if someone goes over. To my experience, I felt very safe.
Hey There, Paul. Every rafting trip is accompanied by river guides. These guides ride alongside the rafts in kayaks. I hope that helps. We'll see ya on the river!
