Does anyone know if they are they still being repainted or if they are now finally done? Would like to take a friend there between the 15th or 16th of June.

So I went on Friday, June 7, 2019 and they were still there. However, they are being repainted. So they were primarily white with a few yellow ones done and the silver/black/white pile done. Check their website for details on when it will be completed. Because right now it's kinda boring with the paint job and barricades in the way.

I was there a couple days ago on a Saturday around 11.30am. Not crowded.. Maybe 20 people around the blocks

Yes it was today. I had heard they were going to relocate them, but that was over a year ago and still there.
