Is there any place that I could picnic off the trail a bit? My wife and I are celebrating our 2 year anniversary on Sunday the 13th of October and i was hoping or a nice little clearing in the woods for a picnic any thoughts or ideas please message

There are certainly areas off the path where you could setup a blanket and sit down. They will not be very private however.

Absolutely, it's a bit of a hike to get there. When entering the park just look at the map. There is a nice clearing with some flat stones in the center. The walk should only take about 15 to 20 minutes to get there but it's worth it.
