My son is a beginner. ( green) . How are conditions today . i would like him ( and I ) to have a Safe ski. Specifically mot a lot of large ice patches. We love Butternut and come every year. Want to continue making it a great experience. Pierre

Check their live wrb cam or I would call the mountain directly and ask for today's ski conditions & # of trails and chair lifts that are open . Usually, if more than half of the trails are close, I don't go.

Good question, wish there was some way of knowing the real conditions. I don't trust what the website says. Other mountains have trail cams so you can see for yourself.
