The question is simple: are vegetarian items-- like beans, French fries, battered onion rings, etc, cooked in, or cooked with, lard, butter and so on? A vegetarian may be ok with butter; a vegan will not be.
We don't usually fry pig innards in my family traditions. As far as I know the Beer Belly hasn't explored that culinary territory.
