How big is your dog? It's likely a Cooper's Hawk or Red Shouldered could be a Kestral but a Kestral won't attack your dog. Cooper's, Red Tail, Red shoulder could possibly take something like a miniature Yorkie or mini Chihuahua or some other small "air dog" But the biggest thing I've personally seen them take is baby rabbits and crows.
