Our newly adopted cat PEPE is already an important member of our family. He has certainly brought joy to my grandson. Thank you Rutland county humane society for saving these animals.

We went in and found a pup we just adored they told us that she had to be fostered first do to an injury. We filled out paperwork to become her fosters. Said they would be in touch, we go back in a few days later to visit the pup and see what was going on with her and they tell us she has been adopted. We got no phone call no anything. Highly unprofessional. They also told us to fill out an application incase it didnt work out with the other people. Which we had already done with the thought she would be coming to our home. Will be looking else where from now on.

What a wonderful place! I just got a dog there, and wow - what a wonderful dog! Like any rescued dog, he needs lots of love and attention and training. But who cares! He is healthy and happy, and I am happy I can give him a better life! The staff was friendly and helpful, and most importantly, the adoption process was totally hassle-free. This humane society offers extremely low-cost adoptions. I paid $199 because he was a "senior" (age six). The $199 covered all his shots and he came nutered. Additionally, that cost must go towards overhead and administrative costs of boarding him for two months. I think such adoption costs are very reasonable. Thank you for taking care of my Bobo until he found his forever-people!

They should be able to
Irony because I think I found this cat not too long ago. He came in the house but then he disappeared.
Sometimes they do.
Thanks for your note, Lisa. Most of the items are sold quickly and by 2 pm there aren't a lot of items left and what is left we leave out for the community to take for free (although they often leave donations). The amount of work it would take to put the unsold items back in the building and then, along with more volunteers, take them all out again for another sale, would be too much. We have limited staff and volunteers for events like this so I think for now we will keep it to one day. Thanks again.
We're so sorry for the delay in responding. Please give the Adoption Center a call at 802.483.6700 Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM about helping with the animals. Thanks.
