I have a question about venom extraction. This isn't intended to be humorous or offensive but I have always wondered how venom is obtained from the spitting cobras. I have not understood how it would be possible to obtain this venom. Thank you.

Jim the main difference is that we have to wear a facemask to protect us from the venom should the snakes choose to spray. However, the venom can still be injected (that's how they kill their food, just like other venomous snakes) so we just allow them to bite onto the funnel and they will inject the venom. Sometimes they do spray it and waste some, but we can't stop them from doing that.

They abstract the venom the same way they do with other venomous snakes they milk them by placing thier fangs in a beeker thats covered
