It is not boring when you have you have to be rushed to the hospital for an allergic reaction to sugar beet!

On the table it's cane, in soft drinks it's hydrogenated high fructose corn syrup. In the kitchen it a derivative of beet sugar. More importantly, who really cares! Boring!!!
I'm a local chef. I can say from experience most places use beet sugar since it is cheaper. But I cannot say for sure. I would call and ask if there's any concerns over allergies or other problems I'm sure the staff would be more than helpful.
Sugar
