Yes, the trail around the sinkhole was a nice short hike that my family did to stretch our legs before getting on the boat tour. A few parts were steep though, it's not on flat ground.
We have our 1/2 mile Natural Area Trail which circles Indiana's largest karst plain sinkhole. This is a pleasant 20 minute hike including a grassy segment offering views of the sinkhole plain above Bluespring Caverns and a longer woodland segment that circles the major sinkhole. Longer trails are available at nearby Spring Mill State Park.
