We were there on a Saturday and they did sell out. I suggest buying in advance.

We got there when they opened for the first tour of the day valentines weekend and there wer only 4 people in the tour its short n sweet but worth the samples and was only 10 bucks a person
Yes buying in advance is always a wise decision
I'd purchase ahead of time. Our group was good sized, but not full, last Summer.
When we were there it wasn't very busy, but I would still call The Distillery. If there's a Galena Festival going on, I'm sure they do get busy. It is a great place.
