You could have ordered something that they had to remake. I eat at Cracker Barrel almost once a week and I have never had to wait more than 15 min. Go talk to management. They aim to please and will probably do something for you.
Our service has always been good. Don't kniw why, but I would have talked to the manager.

I love Cracker Barrel. I eat the catfish breakfast pretty often. I have never had a problem from them food always on point. Ate inside the restaurant 1 time otherwise i can not tell you about the people too much, but when i did eat there our waitress was sweet. I always order out because i usually be on my way to school. No complaints good spot to have breakfast and or dinner.
My visit was good, no long wait. I guess it was busy at the time you went.
