Tough question. Higher Grounds in the Newmarket Shopping Center is very good. I had coffee at the Local Lion yesterday, Sulawesi, also very good. Melanie's has really good strong local coffee too. I'd give those three a try and make your decision that way. Can't really lose with any of them!
I recommend the Local Lion, the Espresso News bistros.
