Also, there are multiple hemlocks. Yes the plant is poisonous but the hemlock trees are an evergreen that used to be quite common around here. The trees still exist but they are all sick and dying off due to a microscopic exotic bug thats killing them all called hemlock wooly adelgids. Western hemlocks are immune to the effects of the insect but the eatern and carolina versions are suffering. I am not even sure we have poison hemlock in the area.

I have played much frisbee golf at warriors not to mention been around here all my life and never heard of poison hemlock around this area. I never had reaction to anykind of plant in the park and llaying the disc golf course you are in alot of weedy areas. So i very doubt there is any poison hemlock there. I think it was named solely because of the trees.. plus if you look there is a hemlock rd or st in just about every town and state..
