Latham Park offers tons of greenspace. The northside of Wendover has the paved greenway for the scooters, soft grass under trees for yoga and benches for Bible study. As the seasoned skaters and BMX riders have mentioned, safety gear is essential and a certain skill set required because speed is essential for using the ramps.

My son likes to ride his big wheel there. It's best to go as early in the day as possible when the traffic isn't as heavy. I've been skateboarding for years and it's extremely dangerous for less experienced riders to be on the course with seasoned ones. Imagine running into a 200 lb man on a steel bike going full speed with no brakes. Perhaps go over some skatepark etiquette videos and forums before taking your children there. Of course you can do what you want, that's why i skateboard..... There's no rules
Officially- Yes! (with proper protective equipment, of course.) Unofficially - Sure! but watch out for other skaters/bikers. An unsupervised young one roaming about the skate park is not safe for anyone. *Maybe consider going earlier in the day, so there will be less people and less risk of injury.*
