The best way to explain the rusty spur is a pretty standard western style bar atmosphere. Good ol boys to sorority girl bar hoops and literally everyone in between. It's relatively small so if you're looking to get your dance on it's not really that style. A good place to drink with rustic cool decor and sometimes a man on a horse rides on in lol.
I'm not sure if LGBTQ is an all inclusive at any spot in America, but as in life we all enjoy friendly, happy, interactive individuals who enjoy life.
Scottsdale in general is LGBTQ friendly. The Rusty Spur is a smaller venue so dancing is a little modest. I say go and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and great music (my brother's band plays there so I'm a little biased- the band does not judge). If anyone says less than positive comments forgive their ignorance. I'm sure they'll be removed.
It's a friendly place not sure about the LGBT.
