Just stopped to eat dinner with our small dog out on the patio. Even though you are listed on the dog friendly searches for restaurants we were turned away. Why?

We just told them we would like to sit on the patio with our dog. The lady at the door said ok. Came back a couple minutes later and said she was just told dogs aren't allowed...
