One thing the others have not mentioned is the proximity to the East Canyon Reservoir and the state campground there. Reservations for that campground is highly recommended, by not mandatory. Just beware sometimes Flock drives for sheep can be offensive to some, but one night when we camped, their bleeding was soothing.
There is definitely tent sites that are used mainly by the boy scouts. Strict fire restrictions are always in place there. There are sites by the orienteering course and further up the trail.
There are tent campsites, but you have to reserve them. Everything is pack in pack out and the bathrooms are at the trailhead.
