Yes! All of them are named by the people at the shelter, and some of them come with names when they are surrendered. That doesn't mean that you can't give them a new name! I adopted a girl who came with the name Rhubarb, and since she was found on the 21st of June I renamed her Summer. She took to it quite well! Don't let the name that they come with stop you, cats learn fast!
Yes my girl was Whitley but she's gotten used to her new name :)
