They are located in Columbus, but you can call them after 11am to get their more detailed hours. They Mail you vouchers for spay or nueter cats, for a one time $10 application and $10 per cat, you go to the nearest participating veterinarian in the program. Very nice people!

This place is one I feel the most insulted in life as a Black African Muslim living in the USA. I took my kids there because it was one the girl birthday. So the lady we meet denied every choice we made with a face that shows us we are not welcome there. She even said that we scaring the cat since my 2 years old daughter was so exited

I just wanted to encourage anyone reading these words to consider donating to this organization. They do a wonderful job. Dozens of cats are brought in to Cat Welfare every week. The volunteers and employees take great care of them for as long as it takes to find each one his/her forever home. Money is not the only way to support this no-kill shelter. They are always super grateful for any donations. They can use food or treats that maybe your cat didn't like, they need blankets, litter, cleaning supplies, cat shampoo, toys, cat carriers, pee pads, collars, harnesses, leashes, cleaning wipes, pet brushes, small pillows and things like that. I went to High School in Clintonville (Whetstone class of 2000!) and I always participated in our annual fundraiser and donation drive for Cat Welfare. In over 20 years I have not once encountered anyone associated with Cat Welfare that was not professional, kind and grayeful for even the smallest of donations. This is a great place with great people running the show. The cats are loved and happy. Please donate! It's that time of year for Spring Cleaning. Maybe you will come across some extra blankets or have leftover cleaning supplies? Instead of throwing them away, consider donating! EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!

Male what color
Yes! All of them are named by the people at the shelter, and some of them come with names when they are surrendered. That doesn't mean that you can't give them a new name! I adopted a girl who came with the name Rhubarb, and since she was found on the 21st of June I renamed her Summer. She took to it quite well! Don't let the name that they come with stop you, cats learn fast!
its not rehoming fee. they rely on donations so u would be giving a donation of any amount. you have to schedule an appt for intake
Absolutely! They have had adoptable cats there for months or years. Some of the cats are even "permanent residents" which means that they live there for good.
You dont need an appointment... just stop in and they can answer your questions
Call the Cat Welfare Association they will help you by either taking the cat or by helping you find a place to take it. They are very helpful and a good environment for cats till they can find a forever home.
They will take in pregnant cats immediately
