Is it a good place for a Field trip?

Absolutely so much history in this area old buildings hotels and shops

I think children of all ages would appreciate it. There are a lot of different things to see. Not sure how the crowds are during the week but can get a little crowded on the weekend. Not to far from here there is downtown San Diego and they have a few places to visit there as well. I would suggest the boat and land trip. Make a splash on the seal San Diego.

I saw a field trip made up of older, middle school children. They came into the candle shop my wife and I were in. The girls were more impressed with the store than the boys. They may enjoy the Wells Fargo History Museum. Stagecoaches, gold coins are pretty cool.

Maybe for older children Lots of shopping and food here. Historically awesome area!
