I was honestly not expecting such a good experience at the DMV, but yes. I was especially touched by an attendant that noticed I was uncomfortable inside and asked me if I wanted to be signed up for a text notification when it was my turn so I could wait in my vehicle. That totally made the experience so much better. It felt good to be seen, she completely acknowledged what I was feeling and provided a solution. I wish I knew her name, because she definitely deserves to be recognized. Thank you.

I always go to this location-staff is usually very friendly and polite, it does get crazy busy thats why I either make an appointment or go super early (around 8am); there is always parking available in the main parking lot if arrive around 9am-anything later, might need to circle around and wait for the spot or park little further on the street and walk back to the dmv. Its been awhile since my last visit and tried to enter through staff entrance but lady nicely explained where to go. Also helps if complete check-in online which also can be used for scheduled or non scheduled appointments which is more convenient so don’t have to stand in line and do that at the dmv. Didn’t get my license renewed yet because of some paperwork I didn’t have on me but staff explained me in detail and will come back again. It gets annoying with all the extra requirements but at least people working there don’t make it more difficult. Wait time today (without appointment was approx 15min, was in line at 8:50am).

Possibly good advice: If you don’t have an appt, show up mid-week and be in line by 620am and you will be in and out. If your situation is complicated call the DMV first, you don’t have to wait, they will call you back when they are able to. This allows you to go about the rest of your day. Pros: • Staff was friendly (There’s always that one person who won’t smile or show emotions but whatever) • I’ve always had experienced people • timing needs to be right or else you will have a 1-star experience Cons: If you’re at the end of the line (came late) you could be screwed. Some things are in a different line at the front. Long story short I almost waited for 2hrs for no reason. Luckily someone came back and told others they were in the wrong line. Bring a chair if you’re late.

From here you can get your California real Id and your driving licenses, renewal, insurance and all. It's close on Sunday and Saturday. You can visit this place from Monday to Friday from morning 7:30 AM to 5 PM. But if you need to finish your work fast from here then you hv to go early in morning if will not like the long queue. Keep your all documents ordinal copy with you.
