Yes. Of course safety is dependant on actions as well. As with any ocean beach, keep an eye out for waves and the tidal cycle. It can lull you into thinking that it's ebbing when, in reality, it's quickly flooding and vice versa. Tides.net is an easy spot to check times for the daily high and low tides. The times do vary by location, as water flows around the globe. Be sure to pay attention to the height. There is typically a large and a small high and low tide each day. (One high might be 4ft and the other 8ft. One low might be 3ft and the other -2ft.)
