Perfect place to watch the water, boats going over the bar, waves on the jetty, and the lighthouse. Decent beach. Today we were watching surfers. Love it!!!

Absolutely stunningly beautiful beach, easy quarter mile drive from the quiche Old Town Bandon. Lots of free parking on a public lot. Very nice bathrooms and faucets to rinse the sand from your feet. Ocean and Coquille River views can be achieved from your parked car. To access the beach, the walk is only a few feet. Driftwood logs, the North and South Jetties of the Coquille River, can be seen as well as the Coquille River Lighthouse that sits on the South Jetty. Offshore basalt monoliths are part of the Oregon Refuge System, and many seabirds can be seen on and near the islands, including Puffins! Bring a telescope or binoculars to best get sight of Puffins. Those who enjoy the parks pristine beach see Seals, walk their dogs, and collect gemstones from beds of gravel along the shoreline. The beach is a great spot to catch Red Tailed Surf Perch from, and there are baitshops in town with everything you may need to catch the perch available. The place is so beautiful it is reflected in even people's attitude here and I have met people here of all sorts and from many different places, all chipper and willing a kind word of greeting. The Pacific Ocean breakers give energy to the scene anytime, and the changing sky and weather make it seem a fresh new experience to me each time I visit. Highly recommended.

So far It's One of The Best sights Ever on the Coast. We usually go to Florence, which has it's Own Attractions😉

One of many great beach access points. For such a small town, Bandon has some of greatest beaches on the Oregon coast. It’s a nice place to see the merge of wildlife between fresh and saltwater at the mouth of the Coquille River. Catch a sunset here or just sit back and watch the tide roll up the river, you can’t go wrong.

Yes. Of course safety is dependant on actions as well. As with any ocean beach, keep an eye out for waves and the tidal cycle. It can lull you into thinking that it's ebbing when, in reality, it's quickly flooding and vice versa. Tides.net is an easy spot to check times for the daily high and low tides. The times do vary by location, as water flows around the globe. Be sure to pay attention to the height. There is typically a large and a small high and low tide each day. (One high might be 4ft and the other 8ft. One low might be 3ft and the other -2ft.)
Not sure. Looks like a bunch of big rocks to me.
