You can bring food and water. They also offer tours by way of a golf cart.
It is very easy to walk there my husband and I did d it very safe lots of places to sit and rest. I take a book with me I take others with me. So they can walk as much as they want.
As previous answers..it is 18 miles but so much stopping to look you don't notice...there are benches available and they encourage you to take your time. There is a picnic area so you can bring food and of course water is encouraged.

It's an 18 acre facility, I do believe that they allow water and sandwiches as they have a nice sized picnic area. They do have lots of seating throughout the park if you were to need to rest, although I wouldn't say that the actual walking distance is all that bad
18 acres. Not sure about miles to walk. We were there from noon to 5pm, and just finished seeing all the exhibits, but muchbof the time was stopping and looking. There are seats scattered about regularly. You can go in and out of the park once you pay and have a sticker, so you can bring food in your car.
