Can you see manatees at teco manatee viewing center in June?

GEORGENE PISA | Jul 21, 2018

I didn't see any last week. I think they are migrating back to the bay since water is getting warmer. They have stingrays that you can touch. Very educational too Also walking trails. Its a nice place to visit .

The manatees come into the viewing area for the warmer water from the TECO power plant. Whether the manatees are in the viewing area depends on the water temperature in the bay.. If the bay water temp is warm enough they stay out there.

We were there Saturday and saw several Manatees.

The colder the water the more you will see

Matthew Pimental | Jul 21, 2018

It's mainly all about good timing

Mike Glogowski | Jul 21, 2018

O yes, as long as the water still cold

C B | Jul 21, 2018

It really depends on the temperature of the water. If its too warm, there will not be any. There weren't a week and a half ago when i went. If its not a far drive, I'd still suggest going. Its free and there are still things to do.

We were there at noon and they were still there
