You can try them on in the store and after go online and have the 5 best lenses sent to your home
Precaution-wise, you do get to try on frames in the store. After you try one on, it gets set aside to be sanitized before being replaced on the shelves. You're right that masks are required in the stores, so to see how frames would look on your bare face, you might combine (masked) in-store with virtual try-ons, or (for a subset of frame types) at home try-ons.
