The convention center is so close to so much, and it's not that expensive at all. There's grocery stores and gas stations pretty much everywhere around it.

There's a Walmart within 6 miles of it. If you also want to eat out at some point, there's a Wendy's very close to it. Kroger's is also nearby. On the same path towards Walmart but closer. Edit: I checked to see how much closer it was. Turns out there's a 2nd Kroger's that's even closer and is within 1 mile of it.
