1. You can walk and bike (verify safety) the trails throughout the park. Driving speed is 25 mph. 2. If you have a kayak, Stand Up Paddle (SUP), canoe, or very small powered boat, then you can enjoy the lake. 3. You can explore Evergreen: the Marriott Resort and Conference Center. You can see the Mountain from there and there are trails nearby. 4. Fishing is allowed. You need to verify the requirements. 5. Check the schedules for various festivals that don't require a fee (especially if you arrive during certain off peak times). These are extremely popular. Many teams bike here prior to competitions. 6. You can explore the covered bridges. 7. The distance around the mountain is about 5 miles. Hope that helps you with enjoying the exploration you're planning Kyleigh.
You only have to pay at the gate for parking ($20/vehicle/time, $40/vehicle/12 months). Other than that, you can also pay for ticket to go on a cart to go up to the giant stone, or play some games at the amusement park, water park etc.). I've never paid anything more than a parking ticket at the gate because I usually hike up to the giant stone (free), and have picnic at the park (free), they have decent trails all over the place.
Park at the city hall and walk thru
