That is a great question. I’m really not sure but I’d check out the Stone Mountain Park website to see if that helps. Id assume they would close the trail during the laser show since fireworks are involved. Hope that helps you a little!
Girl you DO NOT want to be on that mountain when night hits. It's VERY tough terrain. It takes at least an hour and 15 to get up the mountain if you don't have any medical issues. Give more time if you're not in the best shape (intermediate). Then there's the walk back down. Very steep at the top so if you're afraid of heights I don't recommend climbing.
You need to be off trail by 10. You have be away from the top by 9:30 as they've fireworks.

During summer, I saw many people starting climbing up the mountain ⛰️ at 7:00 pm or some even 7:30 pm.

Atleast down the mountain by 10pm...so start descending by 9:30. Carry a flashlight for dark areas through the tree line to keep u safe.
