I just started taking 81mg baby aspirin every night. Do I need to stop taking it before giving blood? If so, how many days prior?

Hi Janet, I give Blood all the time. I stop just two day before giving Blood, then after I give that day I start my aspirin back on up. My Doctor now has took me off of those pills.

Hi Janet. If you're unable to stop taking the aspirin, you can still donate. Just inform them you are taking aspirin. They won't be able to use the platelet portion of your blood.
