Hi Charles, I believe the B500 works with the Nikon App, Snapbridge, which will allow you to transfer photos to your smart device as well as activating the shutter, just like a remote release would. You may also find good results with either a lightweight monopod ot tripod depending on your shooting scenario. Please stop by when you can with your camera and we'll find a solution for you.
