Hi Charles, I believe the B500 works with the Nikon App, Snapbridge, which will allow you to transfer photos to your smart device as well as activating the shutter, just like a remote release would. You may also find good results with either a lightweight monopod ot tripod depending on your shooting scenario. Please stop by when you can with your camera and we'll find a solution for you.

We do repair film cameras and without seeing your exact situation I can relay our general overhaul on that model is $130 and includes shutter repair, adjusting the meter to read correctly with today's non-mercury batteries, replacing light seals, and an overall clean and adjust. Hello Evelyn, Yes we can help you with updating your VHS tape. We have multiple output options. Going to a DVD would be $24.99 for a two hour transfer from a single tape. If you would prefer it on USB it would be $34.99. When you stop in the store we can review the options in further detail.
