Not to be that person, but let me correct a few answers that are here. First, I've only seen someone try fishing on the bridge once, and in that same hour, a cop eventually stopped by, spoke with the guy, and the guy packed up his fishing gear. Now, there are other reasons this could have happened, since I didn't personally know the guy, nor did I care enough to get details. However, I would like to point out that this is a public city park. If you look on their website, they have a document that lists park rules. Animals (including fish) are not to be removed or injured unless you are at a designated fishing location (which this park does not have). Also, there are children who play pretty close to this lake sometimes and it would be horrible if someone stepped on a hook. This is me answering your question to the best of my ability. I've never seen a sign prohibiting fishing. I just don't think there is any fish! A beautiful park non the less.

You are required to release anything caught and you still need a fishing liscense if above the legal age
