Go back to the location where you were shopping. Ask to speak to the manager. Most likely, well depending on the shift, they may be able to recall if you left the items. Hope that this helps.
That's a good question. However, I think you are trying to get the money. Forgive me if I'm off in my assumption. If you take it back with out a receipt you will only get store credit. If you purchased it and they don't have it, you can get a refund. Additionally, they can advise you of another location that may have it in stock.
