While I can't speak for this particular location, it might be that they are too busy with other duties. Such was the case when I worked at a relatively inexpensive sit-down restaurant. If a call got answered, the caller often was put on hold, but we didn't have the spare moments to followup with them. Not a good situation, I know, but most restaurants do not have much more than a skeleton crew to keep the business going and still make some money. As for the inaccuracy of your order, you may have received someone else's order by mistake. Not everybody likes to have gravy with their mashed potatoes. My own dad was that way. Due to the number of mistakes made on many of our own takeout orders over the years, my personal policy is to double-check the order to make sure they got it right and that everything is there that is supposed to be there. More often than not, there's a mistake, and it may be a long trip back to pick up the missing items.

Wow, I really think you should direct this question (complaint?) to KFC!!
Two people in store, one was my sister. She ordered all Cole slaw with her meal. I also work in food service industry. With less than the people on staff, I've served more than that AND had time to answer the phone plus take phone orders when necessary. Even with trainees!
