Does anyone know if the new Roy Pope's lunch counter will include the Roy Pope classic items like chicken fried steak, fried chicken, meatloaf, burgers/fries, homemade vegetables and desserts, etc.? These were delicious at the old Roy Pope.

Yes, the Roy Pope over the counter classic items were delicious. Unfortunately the new Roy Pope doesn't offer any of those items anymore. Their over the counter offerings are fancy schmancy items that I don't particularly care for. Think Lemadeline. Such a disappointment. Apparently a lot of people like it because they are always crowded. Their over the counter fare isn't for me though. The same folks bought Paris Coffee Shop on Magnolia. I don't know if the same thing happened there or not. Good old country cooking is getting harder and harder to find.
