Good info from Thomas and Kathleen. If you can find a large empty parking lot, its good to practice parking in those parking spaces, backing into them, pulling forward into them. Learn to parallel park also. You can practice that in the parking lot too. Drive in less crowded residential streets during the day and at night. Don't feel pressured to learn everything in a month or anything like. We drove with our 18 year old son for 6 months. Teaching him different parts of driving and good techniques. We also paid for 3 driving instruction lessons which he took at various times during the 6 months. This really helped him he said. He studied the DMV book also. He didn't pass the written test first time either. The second time he did pass. There are practice sample DMV tests online also at the DMV website. He's now 23 and has never gotten a speeding ticket or in an accident. Keeps his insurance rates low and more discounted because of it. Good luck! You will do well. 👍
I suggest you start driving with parents or family members first get both a feel for the vehicle and understanding of how everything works as Kat mentioned study your book also try to drive where there is less traffic less obstacles. Untill you become confident and secure... Good luck.
